A LITTLE SPACE TO BE YOURSELF

There is no single way to live a life.
Or to say goodbye.

A life holds so much: the everyday moments, the unexpected adventures, the relationships, the contradictions. The things that made someone unmistakably themselves.

I’m Sharon. I’ll listen to your memories and bring them together into a humanist ceremony that feels personal and true. Whoever you are, whatever your family looks like, there is space for you here.

HELLO, I’M SHARON

Here to listen.
Here to hold space.

When someone dies, finding the words can feel overwhelming. You don’t need to have it all worked out before we talk.

With 30 years of experience in the performing arts, I bring a thoughtful balance of preparation and presence: writing with care, listening closely and responding to what is needed in the moment.

ONE STEP AT A TIME

We’ll find the words, together.

01 / LISTEN

Start with your memories

We’ll talk at your pace. Big stories, small details, laughter and silence — all are welcome.

02 / GATHER

Make room for every layer

I’ll gather the voices and snapshots that help us honour a whole, unique person.

03 / REMEMBER

Create a ceremony that fits

I’ll shape and hold the ceremony, communicating with those involved so you feel supported along the way.

THE STORY BEHIND MY WORK

Many voices.
One extraordinary life.

When my mother died suddenly, I wanted to celebrate all her layers. She was a complex, unique woman who had touched so many lives.

I reached out to friends and extended family, inviting them to share the anecdotes that captured something of her character. Listening to those different perspectives was beautiful. It showed me how much there is to discover in a person’s life — and that I wanted to make this my work.

My background in performance, and my PhD exploring improvisation in 2004, have shaped the way I listen and respond. I prepare carefully, while leaving room for what each moment needs.
